Brooks' Basketball Cake March 2011
Happy birthday Brooks!!!
Kayla was asked to create a basketball-themed quarter sheet cake for Brooks' birthday. The design was based on a combination of a cake Kayla had created previously as trim work from a cake the client had seen. Kayla baked two square cakes and created this basketball court.
Customer comments: We got so many compliments on the cake today. Everyone was excited to see the confetti cake!

Pikachu Cake 0411
Kayla was asked to create a simple layered cake depicting Pikachu from Pokemon for Grady. Kayla iced the cake and then decorated it like a Pokeball complete with a 3-D Pikachu made with fondant. Using her creativity, she made lighteningrods, Pikachu's ability, to keep the plastic wrap off the cake for transport.
Baseball Birthday Cakes for Hope
CSA Flames star Hope wanted a couple of double-layer chocolate chip cookie cakes for her birthday, one featuring the back of her #1 jersey and the other featuring a baseball.
Her mom made an awesome display and said she really liked the cakes because they were "different...not traditional." She was also thrilled with how many people she could serve with just two cakes...two separate birthday celebrations! One with friends and one with family.
University of Richmond Seniors
The U of R womens' basketball game came back to Kayla for their favorite double layer chocolate chip cookie cakes...one for each of their graduating seniors.
According to our contact there: "(Kayla's) cakes are always a big hit and EVERYBODY likes them."

Imagination Movers
One of our favorite families was preparing for Michael's 5th birthday and asked Kayla to create an "Imagination Movers" cake.
Nolan's Baseball Birthday Cakes
Kayla was recommended to make cakes for a special 6 year old's baseball-themed birthday party. She was asked to make a double layer chocolate chip cookie cake and a 3-D funfetti baseball cake.

JR Tucker Girls Volleyball Cake December 2010
Kayla was commissioned to create a cake for the JR Tucker Girls Volleyball teams end-of-season celebration.
She baked this quarter-sheet half chocolate half yellow cake with Tucker orange & blue design and a 3-D volleyball cake.
The scroll work is all done by hand, no stencil or template.

Boy Scouts of America December 2010
One of our favorite customers returned with a request for her favorite chocolate chip double layer cookie cakes commemorating the birthday of Boys Scouts of America.
Kayla created two cookie cakes; one with chocolate fudge filling the other with vanilla. Her client requested the scout logo on one cake and suggested the world scouting logo on the other.
Client feedback: "yummy and looked great too!"
Eight Cake November 2010
Kayla was commissioned to make a "figure 8" cake for Mackenzie's 8th birthday using her favorite colors...pink and green. Kayla created this cake by baking two 14" round cakes and using coloring details to create the number 8.
