Dolphin Retirement Cake

Mrs. Leonard called on Kayla to create a memory dolphin-themed cake to help celebrate the retirement of Mrs. Bara from Echo Lake Elementary School. Kayla baked a "funfetti" cake for the class decorated with buttercream icing featuring a pretty dolphin dressed up with glitter sprinkles.

Polka Dots

Kayla was asked to make a strawberry tiered cake for Reilly's first birthday...

She used white fondant to cover the strawberry-flavored cake and them added polka dots, ribbons & bows...and of course the #1 for sweet Reilly.

JR Tucker Band Senior Night

Kayla was commissioned to create two cakes for the spring concert with graduating seniors are honored for their four years of performing. As a memory for her bandmates, Kayla created 3-D instruments for each of the seniors out of lemon fondant.

The second cake featured Tiger's "angry tiger" which looked great...too bad we didn't capture it on film.

Starry, Starry Night

Kayla was commissioned to create a cake recreation of Van Gogh's Starry, Starry Night for Melissa's birthday.

She used a variety of colored frosting to create this beautiful piece of art.

U of R Spiders Senior Night 2012

Kayla was once again commissioned by the University of Richmond Women's Basketball Department to create double-layer chocolate chip cookie cakes (their favorite!) to honor each of their graduating seniors (including players, trainers and managers.)

Dolphin Cake!

One of our favorite customers wanted a dolphin-shaped cake...so cute & fun!!!

Customer review: "Tell Kayla THANK YOU AGAIN!!! The cake was MAGNIFICENT!!!! Everyone loved it! I cannot believe how wonderfully talented she is at cake decorating/design!! It truly was the best thing about Taylor's Dolphin Party!!"

Cupcakes!

Kayla was invited to bake some cupcakes to share with teachers from Echo Lake Elementary School (she was the only previous student invited to participate...all other cupcakes were compliments of current parents.)
Kayla created these pretty & tasty chocolate mint cupcakes...

Disco!

Morgan's parents went all out with a Disco-themed birthday party and commissioned Kayla to recreate a fitting cake.
Rachel Pustilnik, Morgan's mom and owner of Mom's Treehouse (http://www.moms-treehouse.com), said: "Thank you so much Kayla! It was the BEST cake I have ever seen! You have one bright future! I would love to promote your cakes at Mom's Treehouse if you wish!" Now THAT'S an endorsement!

Rock Star November 2011

Zofia's 7th birthday was going to be a rock star theme and she wanted a white cake.

Eagle cake

Kayla's uncle commissioned her to make a cake for his office. Since the name of the company is Eagle...it only seemed fitting....

Uncle Skip says: "Nobody will touch it - it is too Pretty." Well...we do want people to eat her cakes too, but still a nice complement.

Atlanta Falcons Pumpkin Spice Cake

Kayla was asked to make a cake featuring two of the recipients' favorite things: the Atlanta Falcons and pumpkin spice cake. She covered the pumpkin spice cake in cream cheese frosting and then created the Atlanta Falcon with a combination of icing and fondant.

Customer review: "The pumpkin spice was a huge huge hit.  Bella wants that next year…"

Spy Girl Cake w/Magnifying Glass

One of our favorites! Bella was having a spy girl party for her 10th birthday. Kayla created this fondant-covered half & half (chocolate & yellow) cake with a 3-D magnifying glass. She used glucose to create the glass illusion.

Client review: "I love the cake…very very creative!!! So Bella loved the design of the cake!!  Bella ate the image of herself whereas everyone else was fighting over the magnifying glass. "
